Tools for a Model-driven Instrumentation for Monitoring

چکیده
The performance of parallel and distributed systems depends significantly on how the programs’ execution is dynamically organized. Therefore, performance evaluation and efficient programming of parallel and distributed systems need the analysis of the internal behavior of such systems. For this purpose event-driven monitoring is an appropriate technique. Eventdriven monitoring reduces the dynamic internal behavior of the system to some important events, which are recorded in event traces. The instrumentation of the object program, i.e. the definition of events, depends on the respective intention of the analysis. In most cases the instrumentation will be done intuitively based on professional experience. In this paper a concept for a model-driven execution of event-driven monitoring is presented. It leads to tools for systematic and automatic instrumentation.

A novel method for detecting structural damage based on data-driven and similarity-based techniques under environmental and operational changes
The applications of time series modeling and statistical similarity methods to structural health monitoring (SHM) provide promising and capable approaches to structural damage detection. The main aim of this article is to propose an efficient univariate similarity method named as Kullback similarity (KS) for identifying the location of damage and estimating the level of damage severity. An impr...
متن کاملOnline Monitoring for Industrial Processes Quality Control Using Time Varying Parameter Model
A novel data-driven soft sensor is designed for online product quality prediction and control performance modification in industrial units. A combined approach of time variable parameter (TVP) model, dynamic auto regressive exogenous variable (DARX) algorithm, nonlinear correlation analysis and criterion-based elimination method is introduced in this work. The soft sensor performance validation...
متن کاملReal-time quality monitoring in debutanizer column with regression tree and ANFIS
A debutanizer column is an integral part of any petroleum refinery. Online composition monitoring of debutanizer column outlet streams is highly desirable in order to maximize the production of liquefied petroleum gas. In this article, data-driven models for debutanizer column are developed for real-time composition monitoring. The dataset used has seven process variables as inputs and the outp...
متن کاملModel-Driven Instrumentation for Dynamic Analysis of Legacy Software Systems
Dynamic analysis requires the instrumentation of application code with monitoring probes. This paper presents an approach to generate instrumentation artifacts from models augmented with analysis directives. Special emphasis is put on how to add monitoring instrumentation by means of aspect-oriented programming (AOP) to programs written in legacy languages.
متن کاملMonitoring of Cheragh-veis Dam During Construction Using Instrumentation Data and Investigation of dam behavior during impounding
One of the most important challenges in development projects beside designing and performing them is to control immunity and stability of the several parts during different stages of construction, impoundment, and operation. The main purpose of instrumentation in dams is to evaluate operation and reaction of these structures under different load conditions, developing a better understanding...
